On October 25th, 2024, CAMTech Uganda hosted its Open Pitch Competition and Showcase Event at the Kihumuro Campus Library, Mbarara University of Science and Technology. This event celebrated 12 years of impactful medical innovation, showcasing achievements, highlighting its influence in the healthcare innovation space, and mobilizing support for sustained implementation.
Under the theme “Accelerating Innovations to Impact Health Outcomes in LMICs,” the event featured three sub-themes:
- From Concept to Implementation: The journey of a health tech innovator.
- From Prototype to Practice: Ensuring innovations meet user needs.
- Fostering Innovations Through Regulation: The role of a supportive framework.
The event brought together innovators, students, mentors, judges, and funders, driving conversations and collaboration to shape the future of healthcare in Uganda.
